No.5 on the menu (50 piece ipad challenge) is composed with a series of microtones. In one bag i filled 24 gambling chips with all 24 tones of the octave, in another bag i put 24 chips with varying rhythms. After thoroughly mixing, shaking and jumbling the bags i pulled out a tone and a rhythm to go with it until the bags were empty. I then constructed a piece from the order of that series resulting in strange tonalities and some complex time signatures. (To anyone not familiar with microtonal music it may sound out-of-tune and totally random shite. You can always send it back to the chef if it's not to your taste).
